The original redneck, The term redneck comes from the West Virginia Coal Miners March (aka Battle of Blair Mountain) when coal miners wore red bandanas around their necks to identify themselves as seeking the opportunity to unionize. That is the true "Redneck history."
Now days there are rednecks from different nationalities, there are even northern rednecks, white trash is racist but a redneck isn't. Some of us make low wages, or make moonshine so we will be able to make enough money to live, a true redneck will do what ever it takes to put food on the table for his family, although they may not be well educated, they will do everything it takes to make sure their children are, they want the best for their kids as any parent does, a true redneck makes the best out of a bad situation.

Rednecks are almost always hardcore conservative evangelical Christians. Most rednecks do not have anything beyond a high school education.
Rednecks are very political and more easily triggered than the "libtards" they love to ridicule. Rednecks are proud of their Southern heritage. Rednecks will own multiple things that display the Confederate flag. A true redneck would have voted for Trump twice.
Rednecks enjoy watching NASCAR and college football. Other redneck pastimes include fishing, hunting, and mudding. Rednecks get most of their TV news from Fox. They love guns.
Classic hallmarks of a redneck include a fetishization of oversized pickup trucks, casual racism, nationalism, nostalgia, a jingoistic US-Centric worldview, a love of low-quality booze, and a deep hatred of anything perceived as progressive, anti-American, anti-Christian, or anti-White. Rednecks are terrified of the technological, racial, social, and economic change that America is experiencing.
Rednecks like to think of themselves as down-to-earth, unpretentious, hardworking patriots. Despite their bad rap, most rednecks are very friendly hospitable people once you get to know them. They can have positive interactions with people who are not like them. After reading all of the above definitions, it has become clear to me what a Redneck is: Someone who can spell better than those who denigrate him, construct intelligent thoughts and sentences, someone who is proud of their country and heritage, someone who is secure in themselves, someone who is self-reliant and hard working, an independent thinker with a sense of morals and, mostly, someone who is not hypocritical.
It seems like many of those who think Rednecks are something bad are the same people who hold Bill Clinton (Southern, sexual deviant, liquor swiller, no moral standards) in high regard. Hypocrites.

Decent, proud of heritage, usually of Indian heritage, blatantly honest, high morals. Real Rednecks are the salt of the earth types that hold true to what is right and wrong, are decent, hard working, faithful to friends and family, not ashamed to stand up for strong morals and common sense. They are NOT the green toothed, inbred, black hating, idiots that are portrayed in the LIEbral media from tv to the movies and print. They are from every corner of the earth, and they come in every nationality. It is the pure decency and no quit attitude among them that sets them apart from the people that are out to destroy that common thread among good people everywhere. They are from every walk of life. The ones that can't stand them and are the nay sayers here are the same that want the world handed to them on a platter, have no morals, own nothing, will not work, and are otherwise just a sponge on society and a blight on the world's good people. They hate anything that decent, hard working people (Rednecks) stand for such as family, morals, integrity, tradition, common sense.
