Jabbar ( UCLA ), Jordan ( N.Carolina ), and Chamberlain ( Kansas ). Karl Malone is the only one not to win a NBA Championship and the only one not to attend a Phat 5 program. Wilt Chamberlain ( Kansas ) is the only man in NBA history to score 100 points in a NBA game. Michael Jordan ( UNC ) led the NBA in scoring 10 times, a record that may never be broken. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar ( UCLA ) is the only player in NCAA history to win the NCAA Tournament MVP award 3 times.

Larry Brown ( UNC ) is the only coach to win a NCAA Championship ( Kansas-88 ) and a NBA Championship ( Detroit 2004 ). Coach Brown also guided ( UCLA-80 ) to the NCAA Final game , and the Philadelphia 76ers to the NBA Finals ( 2001 ) with Dunkadelic Hip-Hop Legend Allen Iverson.

The Phat 5 have a combined 27 National titles and, 68 Final Four appearances.All of the Phat 5 programs have 70+ touranament wins. They are the only 5 to do so ( Kentucky-98 ), ( UNC-88 ), ( UCLA-85 ), ( Duke-81 ), ( Kansas-73 ).Indiana is the closest program with 58. The Phat 5 have 5 of the 6 best All-Time winning%.( 1 ) Kentucky, ( 2 ) N.Carolina, ( 3 )UNLV, ( 4 )Kansas, ( 5 ) Duke, ( 6 ) UCLA. UNLV started play in 1959, 39 years after UCLA ( 1920 ) the last Phat 5 to start playing basketball. The Phat 5 have the top 4 programs in All-Time wins ( 1 )Kentucky, ( 2 )N.Carolina, ( 3 )Kansas, and ( 4 ) Duke. UCLA is ( 11th ) All-Time.
The NCAA has had 67 National Champions and the Phat 5 have a combined 68. This means there is almost a guarrantee that one of the Phat 5 will make the Final Four every year. Now that's Dunkadelic.

C.M. Newton ( UK ) Hall of Famer as a contributor. A member of the 1951 NCAA Championship team ( UK )coached by Adolph Rupp. Newton, the ( UK ) Athletic Director from 1989-2000. Hired Rick Pitino in 89' to restore the Kentucky pride. Hired first African American Coach in school's history ( Tubby Smith ) to the winningest Div. 1 college basketball program in NCAA history. Hired first African American women's coach in school history in 1989.
C.M. Newton is a Phat 5 legend and made an historical decision when he hired Tubby Smith in 1997. ( UK ) on to win the 1998 NCAA Championship. Now that's Dunkadelic!!!!!
