Intentionally meant to sound innocent when in reality the user is deliberately viewing pornogrpahic content or pages that are NSFW.

Guy: hey what’re you up to?

Girl: not much buying a palette on hush.com you?

Guy: just Tumblr scrolling right now.

Girl: oh cool.

Guy: *breaks the fourth wall and smirks at the audience*

Rabbit Scroll

When you open up a TikTok and then find yourself still scrolling many minutes later, like falling down an internet rabbit hole.

Friend 1: Hey man, did you see that TikTok I sent you last night?
Friend 2: Yeah it sent me down a rabbit scroll for like an hour and I missed the deadline for my paper on ADHD.

Fritter Scrolling

Wasting time, energy or money, scrolling aimlessly through frivolous content on social media, websites or video sharing sites. Could also be loosely be referred to as Idle Scrolling, which is spending time doing nothing, albeit one is scrolling, they are scrolling without purpose, aim or goal.

The concept is also applied to wasting time through other means, see Fritter Lifing.

I was fritter scrolling and didn't realise how much time had past.
