Debating Kennedy

A term used to describe the death of a lifetime elected official while in office. Refers to the passing of Ted Kennedy from Massachusetts while also in office.

"Did you hear that John Murtha died today?"

- "Yup, he's another one Debating Kennedy right now."

1. Person who is always in debate mode.

2. One who would argue if you said the sky is blue.

3. Person unable to converse normally.

4. One who thinks conversation is a competition.

I say, "Isn't the sky a pretty shade of blue today?"

Debaterbot responds, "Well, of course it's not REALLY blue at all. What you're seeing is light from the sun reaching your optic nerves through all the various gases in the atmosphere, notably oxygen and nitrogen. Not only gases, but particles of dust, ash, water vapor, contrails (don't get me started on contrails), bird droppings, ozone and .......... "

one who exhibits an unhealthy habit of accumulating bad debt

The debtaholic said "I'll pay it off with my next pay cheque". Someone who lives way beyond their means but can never admit to themselves how much debt they are accumulating. The type of person that justifies their bad debt.

Debit-Card Roulette

The suspenseful game of trying to buy things with a debit card that has little money left in the account. You win if you have enough money to buy the item; you lose if you find you have "insufficent funds" and cannot buy the item.

John lost his first game of debit-card roulette when he tried to buy ten dollars worth of McDonalds with $4.25 left in his account.
