Trail Fairy 

A person or home that takes in weary travelers on long journeys, usually ones of great endurance such as the PCH hike trail. Often these ‘Fairies’ will provide a place to shower and a safe yard to camp out at. Each Fairy is different!

Trail Bunny 

(Noun) A woman who hikes trails (often on mountains) and fucks random men that she happens to run into.

1) "Watch out man, there's a trail bunny up ahead."
2) "Thanks but I think I'll keep going!"

Trail Braking 

A technique used on the entrance of a turn where instead of discrete sections where you brake, turn in, and step on the throttle after, Trail Braking is where you brake later than normal, and continue to while turning in.

This is useful on cars that have a tendency toward understeer, as it puts the weight of the car on the front tires, making it easier to maintain front wheel grip while turning. This works on cars that tend to oversteer too, but it is not recommended, as it will likely induce more oversteer than normal.

Because I was in a Nissan Skyline with too much power, I knew Trail Braking wasn't needed, so instead I braked before, and throttled up to send it through the corner in true JDM fashion.

Trail Daddy

A person who frequents hiking trails; vision and creativity driving chosen routes. Inspired by light, adventure, people and the great outdoors. Thoughtful packer, often thinking of others’ needs. Generous in nature, sharing discoveries and ideas. Some trail daddies are professional photographers, but only one is known in the Pacific Northwest.

The generous trail daddy led to me to the auroras, shared his granola bar and took pictures of me.
