A polite asshole is both polite and an asshole at the same time. This will most often be a male, And you'll feel like hating their guts while wanting to still be their friend or partner.

Your friends are the ones most likely to identify him or her as a polite asshole and you may not even have noticed it till they do. It is most-likely his or her attempt at flirting with you as you may not have much common ground or have known each other for long.

A polite asshole will be one of those friends or partners that are as close as they come, they'll be there for you through thick and thin.
