Wiki Vandalism

What high school students have had to resort to in computer lessons when the school filter blocks all the game sites.

Bob: Hey I found a games site that isn't blocked!

Fred: Fuck that, I'm changing the Wikipedia article on some guy called John Brooke-Little. He's now the Soggy Sayo champion of the world.

John: Yeah, no-one playes games nemore, it's all about Wiki Vandalism now.

wiki bomb

To send someone a link to a interesting article on a wiki or another such site with many interesting pages and many interconnecting links on those pages, so that they will be trapped in a maze of absorbing articles for hours on end.

Friend: Dammit, David Morgan-Mar posted a link to TV Tropes in today's webcomic's annotation and I spent the whole day reading useless trivia.
Me: You sir, have been wiki bombed.

Wiki Quest

A game including two or more persons (and respective computers) where a starting point and destination are mutually selected. A race then ensues to "click" from the origin to the destination, using only links encountered on the given Wikipedia pages. Using the keyboard and / or searching text, either in the search field or by the "find" command, is illegal.

We were bored during our computer lab time, so me and my friends Wiki Quested the whole time.

We Wiki Quested from "Toshiba" to "Abraham Lincoln" it took like 4 hours!

Wikkie Hippan

A word originally coined by the poster known as "Spamcan" at the now defunct AGB forums (www.advancegb.com) when angry at another member's "new age" ideology. It is normally said in a derogatory fashion of some sort, although it has been used in a more affectionate manner.

n.
1.One who engages or believes in earth based spirituality or pacifistic drug based philosophies as part of a larger social counterculture with a basis relating to religion, health or politics often leading to socially unacceptable and potentially dangerous practices.

2.One who exploits a person meeting the requirements of definition #1 for personal gain or financial profit.

The wikkie hippan genus includes (but is not limited to): druggies, hippies, vegans, wikkans, ultra-liberals, communists, and Canadians.

1.(Definition 1) "If I have to hear another tree-hugging veggie-fuck wikkie hippan tell me how poor my lifestyle is, I'm gonna go postal!"

2. (Definition 1)
Person 1: "So I passed another <anti-war/pro-choice/animal-rights/pro-marijuana> rally on my way to work today."
Person 2: "Yeah, those god-damned wikkie hippans are at it again."

3.(Definition 2) "I can't believe McDonalds created an Atkins menu. Those freaking wikkie hippans!"

Quickly searching something on Wikipedia. Wiki Quickies are particularly useful when talking about a challenging subject online or over the phone. A quick glance at the Wikipedia page pertaining to your subject will easily and discretely give you the upper-hand in a debate, or will simply make you look smarter.

Person #1: (while putting away laptop or iPhone) "Did you know that the smallest house in the world is only 5.49 square meters in size?"

Person #2: "Woah! I had know idea. How did you know that?"

Person #1: "Wiki quickie, baby!!"
