Resident of the Australian State of New South Wales. The term was created by the residents of the Australian State of Queensland in retaliation for a sports article by a Sydney-based journalist describing the Queensland Rugby League State of Origin team as advancing as relentlessly as cane toads. In response it was stated that the New South Wales team had scattered like cockroaches hit with a spray of Baygon ( an insect spray) and the term stuck.

Cockroaches produce small eggs. So a "cockroach" is a man with small testes (eggs) meaning he can't hold his word and has no honour. This is meant by Tony Montana in "Scarface".
