A relationship that someone only goes into because they are desperate and can't find anyone else to go out with them.

Girl 1: Honey, what made you go out with him in the first place?

Girl 2: I was lonely and he was the first guy to ask me out in a long time. It seemed like a good idea at the time...

Girl 1: Did you even like him?

Girl 2: No, not really.

Girl 1: So it was a desperationship, then. You only went out with him because you wanted to be with someone.

Derivation: Named after the cutesie cartoons which periodically stand in for the logo of a popular search engine.

Commemorating Edmund Halley's 335th birthday is a Desperate Doodle. Commemorating his 400th will not be.

This woman is thicker than a bowl of oatmeal!!! she blesses you with light and inner peace. Very Interesting person. You’ll spot her easily in a crowded room without having to know her name because Destiny will purposely not fit in. Will lure you in with her brown eyes and fun-loving nature. Both soft spoken and loud depending on her level of shyness. By far the bestest friend you will ever have.. great listener , bubbly, understanding, generous, caring, and absolutely adorable. She will not judge you.

UK and Commonwealth musicians' jargon for a stand partner. Two players in an orchestra or other large ensemble who share a single music stand (also called a music desk in British English) and play from the same part are called deskies or desk partners or stand partners.

Always bring your own pencil to rehearsal. Don't count on your deskie having one.
