A new bike and new engine can be had for under $300 combined, so just imagine how cheap the used ones are. These are ridden by the locals who either had their license suspended for drugs or alcohol, or can't afford a car due to drugs or alcohol. Tweakermobiles get over 100 MPG, and don't require a license, insurance, or auto loan, so they are the transportation of choice for people with zero money and no way to get more.
