An abbreviated exclamation apparently originating in the early 21st century, when the government of supposedly the most powerful nation-state was suddenly taken over by a second-rate feudal power, using an orange puppet, for the purpose of destabilizing the climate. This was so the latter country could thaw out still more fossil fuels from under the polar ocean, taking over both energy sources and trade routes of the remaining habitable zones. However, the resulting environmental collapse, plagues and refugee crises led to a nuclear war, eventually involving the entire planet- hence our miserable existence for the last two millennia . Now, when the fate of something important rests in the hands of one person, and he screws up real bad, or when you and everyone around you is about to suffer, you utter "COVFEFE!!!"

Dude1: "Man, I think I just blew that meeting with our client- we're gonna lose our biggest account..."
Dude2: "COVFEFE!"

Tactical Officer: "Two Romulan Warbirds de-cloaking to starboard... weapons off-line, shields at 18%..."

Covfefe. From the President Trump tweet “Despite the constant negative press covfefe.” . Before Google fixed it’s translator the Arabic sounding Cov fe’ fe came out as “ I will stand up” when translated into English. When “I will stand up” is translated into Arabic it sounds like “ So fuck off” . Therefore the Tweet really meant “ Despite the negative press coverage I will stand up , so fuck off” .

There is an alternate meaning as well. Cov is short for coverage. Fefe means ‘party’ or alternately “masturbation device”. So covefe is a portmanteau

meaning coverage that is a mutual masturbation party or in the context used “a circle jerk among Trump hating reporters”. The tweet therefore is the same as “Despite the constant negative press circle jerk coverage.
