Bass Clarinet Player

Usually, a bass clarinet player is a misunderstood, but very useful instrument in a band. Higher than a bari sax, but lower than a tenor sax, the bass clarinet player is the median in a low reed section. Not too high, not too low.
Band Director 1:We need more bari.
Bd 2:We need more tenor.
Bd 3:Nah, both would be over-kill. We need something in between.
Bd 1:We could add some bass clarinets player...
All:YES!

bass guitar

(BASE - gitt - TARR) A musical instrument that's a hybrid of the upright bass (also known as the double bass or bass violin) and the electric guitar, conveniently combining the low tonal range of the upright bass with the portability and playability of the guitar. Popularized by models created by Leo Fender in the 1950s, although he wasn't the first to manufacture a bass & guitar combination.

Like the original upright bass, bass guitars most commonly have 4 thick strings tuned EADG. But extended-range models with five (BEADG) or six strings (BEADGC) are available too, as are 8 and 12 string models (based off the idea of 12 string guitars).
Paul McCartney and Sting both play the bass guitar.

Bass Trombone

A development of the trombone which its self was a present from god to the rest of the world. This glorious instrument is often mocked for having all the suttelty of a sledge hammer and the dynamic range of a chainsaw. This is grossly unfair as when played properly this instrument is comparable to none other. In a band situation the Bass Trombonist is often referred to as the 3rd Trombonist. If this does not cease to continue then the Bass Trombone faternity will rise against the world.

Bass Tapes

Bass Tapes refer to the old school cassette tapes from the late 80's and early 90's. These tapes predated CDs, and contained experimental bass-heavy music, think grandfather music to to Trap, Glitch and DubStep.
Remember that bumping car you drove from the 90's? Man, we'd bump from block to block with 18's in the back and bass tapes in the cassette player. Thumping the neighborhood.

bass (singer)

This refers to basses in choir. Not the musical instrument or the fish.

A bass in choir is a man that sings in the lowest range. The kind of man whose voice seems to literally make the stage vibrate with its low, resonant, reverbarating and rich sound quality. The kind of man who kicks baritone and tenor arses collectively. The kind of man who adds depth to any choir song.
Basses, unlike tenors and baritones, are actually capable of getting an alto to become interested in them. We altos are rather selective and demanding when it comes to men, and the only men that can catch our eyes are basses. Basically, while the sopranos are standing there swooning over the tenors, the basses are hitting it off with the altos.

Oh and one more thing--basses are living, breathing, walking, talking sex under stage lights. They exude masculinity. They're talented and confident. They're basically pure and unbridled sex.
Amalie: Oh my God, look at that guy over there...he is so effing hot.
Lila: He's a bass (singer).
Amalie: That would explain it.
