When two heterosexual male friends are treated as if they are a couple out on a date. This usually occurs when the friends go out to dinner. Much to their chagrin, the two guys get seated off in a cozy corner and the waitress is extra nice and supportive all of a sudden. When the waitress eventually figures out that the guys are checking her out, she will stop being nice. She will then treat them as just two regular a*&#0!3s.

Wife: How was your dinner with Bob?

Husband: Cool, but the waitress thought we were a couple having a bromantic evening.

Hopeless Romantic

(Applying to the Male half) The male version of the hopeless romantic, is the best friend from a teen movie. The guy who loves the girl more deeply then anyone could, he fights for her, protects her. But is unrealistic when it comes to loving her. He dreams night and day about them being together, what it would be like, but it's met with shattered dreams due to the simple fact there's another man in the picture. Maybe it'll be pretty in pink or maybe it'll turn good like Win A Date With Tad Hamilton. Still regardless the tragic hero will continue to dream of that girl, and stay with her knowing he's just second fiddle.

Mr. Right our hopeless romantic watches as the dream girl goes out for the night with the smooth talker. Mr. Right lets it happen.

A hopeless romantic is a person who believes in stuff like true love and soul mates. The person has no hope because the truth is: love isn't perfect. The person is also very romantic. A hopeless romantic believes in the love seen on TV, in books, manga, anime, etc.. They believe that one day their Prince Charming will come, rescue them, fall in love with them, and live happily ever after.

Sarah: You are such a hopeless romantic...
Emma: What are you talking about?
Sarah: Stop dreaming about how one day you will meet your soul mate and how you guys will be in love with each other forever.
