Broad Street Bullies

The Philadelphia Flyers teams of the 1970s. They were so mean, rough, and vicious that other teams were intimidated and scared shitless to play them.

First Edition (1972-1975) featured Dave "The Hammer" Schultz, Bob "The Hound" Kelly, Andre "Moose" Dupont, and Don "Big Bird" Saleski.

Second Edition (1976-1981) included Paul Holmgren, Mel Bridgman, Behn Wilson, Dave Hoyda, Glen Cochrane, and Ken "The Rat" Linseman. Those were the scariest teams in hockey history.

Third Edition (1981-approx. 1987) included Dave Brown, Rick Tocchett, Daryl Stanley and Craig Berube.

Man do I miss those days of the Broad Street Bullies and Big Bad Bruins.

Wall Street Rat

Similar in tone to hood rat or street rat the WSR is an sub-species indigenous to the greater NYC area, sometimes including Greenwich, CT. While seemingly disguised in a suit and tie this shady character is constantly plotting nefarious schemes such as parceling up bad product with enough good product to fool buyers (similar to drug dealing), insider lingo meant to confuse and distract listeners and giving themselves pay raises as everyone else suffers (stealing). They should be treated with the same contempt as other aforementioned rats.

I hate going out drinking in the Financial District. The bars are always full of stinking Wall Street Rats.

A term used to describe the condition of someone who just got clocked lovely, but is still barely standing somehow, or was knocked down and unwisely got back up. Marked by wobbly legs and a glazed over look in the eyes. Many men have been sent here courtesy of Mike Tyson (see Michael Spinks in 1988). Has nothing to do with sexual orientation.
