spin zone

when someone tries to spin an argument, present an incident in a biased way, or completely change the subject, they're in the spin zone

it can also be used as a verb in the same way that the slang version of "spin" is used. it's closely related to a hot take.

the modern phrase is commonly used in the sports world, most often to depict ridiculous takes or insane arguments, and became popularized thanks to groups like Barstool Sports
