Adult stores are quite common in Germany, these are the DVDs in a solid black case with only writing on them, no photos.

Now closed, it was once the world's greatest video rental store, offering cheap rentals, such as 5 films for 5 days for 5 dollars, and maintaining a vast selection of films which put the garbage known as "Blockbuster" to shame.
