Dry Snitching

When you get caught up by the authorities and they tell you that if you give up someones name you won't get in trouble, so you make someone up to save yours and your people's asses.

Example: smash unit comes to your house and ask to look around, you let them in forgetting u didn't put ur stash away, while they're looking they find it, but give you the option to tell them who u got it from and they'll let u go, so even tho u got it from u r homie down the street you make up some person and say u got it from them. It's like u r still snitching, but now the cops r gonna be looking for some imaginary person, leaving their case dry. Dry snitching

cops: "tell us where u got the dope from and we won't take u to jail today"
You:"uh, Idk his name, they call him j.r, I met up with him down the hill in blajblahblah city"

Skitching

The act of taking someone out mentally physically emotionally or socially be careful planning and observation. Closely related to the term "skitch" (skanky bitch, skank bitch). Skitch can be male or female...usually when going "skitching" one would experience stalking,sabotage..ect. *Skitching is carried out in steps/stages, solution times can vary.*

Dana: "UGH. That girl is such a skitch!"
Macy: "Yeah, he could so much better than that skitch."
Dana: "I think it's time we go skitching."

Switching stations

To switch stations simply means to go from one language to next during your interaction with another speaker who may also be bi or multilingual. People "switch stations" to add a bit of context on the subject matter or topic they're talking about so that the listener can fully comprehend the speaker. The speaker also does this as a way to relate to their listener(s) and make them feel connected. The phrase/term originally derived from the multitude of radio and TV stations, in South Africa, that are being broadcasted in different tongues/languages for specific listeners/viewers to read. So if you change from one station to the next, you would hear the new speaker on your telly or radio speak in a different tongue than the predecessor from the other station.

Speaker #1: Sawubona bhuti. Igama lami nguSphiwe and what is your name?

Speaker #2: Yebo, sawubona Sphiwe. I'm Trevor.

Speaker #1: Oh, okay. Ngiyajabula ukukwazi Trevor.

Speaker #2: 😅 Yebo. Nice to meet you too, Sphiwe.
