Hold the Line

1) A temporary state of being that recommends that the appropriate position is to remain steady and not react whatsoever.

2) A phrase to be utilized when you have something else on your mind and you're not paying attention when someone asks you a question and/or is talking about their own issues.

3) A nonsensical euphemism to belt out whenever one feels the need to just be agreeable.

I called my good buddy in a panic and needed some help. He was drinking and told me to "Hold the Line"

A guy pulled in on his Vespa, took off his helmet and simply said "Hold the Line"

Guy 1: I think I'm gonna call her. I know it's only been just one day, but I think I'm gonna call her.

Linnea

A word used when describing a girl that seems perfect. Usually a beautiful, smart, down-to-earth, funny, cute, sexy and mysterious girl.

Also, "Linnea" can be used when describing a girl that every guy wants to get their hands on, but no one can seem to actually get her.

Man, I could have sworn she was a Linnea!

the main line

A suburb just outside of Philadelphia known for its reputation of preppy schools, moms, kids, and pretty much everything else. All of the private schools including The Haverford School, The Baldwin School, The Agnes Irwin School, and The Episcopal Academy, are known for their great education and scandalous secrets. To sum it all up the mainline is like the 90210 with rich preppy families who send their children to private schools just to show off how much money they have. The mainline is a community of dirty, rich, and prestigious people who will do anything to one up anyone else.
