"Budd" is the positive usage of the more well known version of the word, "bud". "Bud" is typically used in a negative context; ex: "You wanna take this outside bud?" Budd, on the other hand, can be viewed as a shorter form of saying "buddy". Bud - D. Of course, it is just pronounced as "bud".
