Wankles

Water on the ankles. Similar to cankles but they are caused by fluid overload.

Most likely causes are from dialysis treatments, Congestive Heart Failure, Anuria, exceeding daily recommended fluid restriction (I.e. 1500cc/day), skipping dialysis treatments or having not enough fluid “pulled” during treatment, kidney failure.

Treatment is dialysis or elevation of the feet slightly above the heart.
