Šlape

Also called 'slides'. Plastic footwear with one band over the foot. Usually worn during the summer or inside the house. Can be worn with or without socks. The etymology of the word stems from the balkans, maybe Croatia, but is also used in Slovenia and other balkan countries. They might be seen as a status symbol for some, depending on the brand and design, or just a convenient shoe for getting your mail or taking out the trash.

Look at those boys all wearing the same šlape in front of the Mcdonalds driveway.

shape rotator

A shape rotator is someone with high visuospatial ability. Contrasts with with wordcel, i.e. someone with high verbal ability.

It's a term based on puzzles used in some IQ tests that require the test-taker to mentally rotate or unfold a shape to see which shape it matches up with.

We let the shape rotator in our family figure out how to fit all the luggage into the trunk.
