Informal

v. "to palin"
The act or an instance of looking like an idiot during an interview because you obviously don't know what you're talking about. Reasons for palining an interview include ignorance and/or arrogance. Instead of admitting you don't know, you try to fake it be injecting obscure information into an answer hoping that the interviewer will forget their question.

To gain enough awareness of the existence of an article, book, or legislative proposal to the extent that you have the confidence to make misleading pronouncements about it, without having actually read or understood it.
Hey, I Sarah Palinized the 1,017-page health care reform bill while I was brushing my teeth this morning. I heard it contains 17 separate paragraphs detailing the circumstances in which aliens will have the right to harvest your organs.

Palinite

Someone who defends the actions and/or ridiculous comments from Alaskan female candidates no matter if they catch on fire from spontaneous combustion as "A breath of fresh air".
Husband: People use phrases like "You Betcha'", "Say it ain't so, Joe" and "Doggone it" in the political world?!

Wife: Who cares if she doesn't know what she is talking about! She's just speaking to the average Joe Six Pack, she's a breath of fresh air!

Husband: Don't be such a Palinite!

Palinize

When someone answers a question without any form of intelligence or foresight. In an attempt to divert from giving a correct answer and in the process sounding unintelligible.
"Hey mat, have you seen my 50 dollars I left on the counter?"
"Well Tia, im not going to answer that question the way you want me to , but doggonit, I betcha, if we put our heads together we can come to some conclusion as to why money is even green to begin with."

To flub, fail or otherwise stumble in response to simple, predictable questions in an interview; to give an off-topic and incoherent or syntactically suspect response to a simple, pre-dictable question in an interview; to do likewise in any other human endeavor. 2. To fabricate an untruth, that is easily verifiable as such, in response to a question for which one does not know the answer.
Katie asked Sarah what newspapers she read but Sarah totally palined and said "Entertainment Tonight!"
