Trent Kowalik

One of the three original Billies in the title role of the musical Billy Elliot on Broadway, along with David Alvarez and Kiril Kulish. Of the three he was the only one to have played the role before, having been flown over to London to join the West End production prior to opening the show on Broadway.

He is an accomplished dancer, having begun training at age three, particularly in Irish step dancing. He was the youngest American to ever win the World Step Dancing Championship, a title he held for five years.

This was a term used by Chief Thunderthud on the Howdy Doody show in the fifties. It was picked up by surfers in southern California in the late fifties, then skateboarders. Not Swahili, not Hawaiin, not Mutant Ninja Turtles - Howdy Doody.

The nickname given to a dependable blue collar grunt type of person always in the background doing the hard work supporting the hero, leader or boss but never getting the glory or basking in the limelight. A common name used by the American film industry for a minor supporting actor's character.

Because Corporal Bradshaw always accomplished the mission without incident or drama and never received recognition from his superiors, the platoon called him Kowalski.

Kowatiate

When someone says something unclear, you can ask them to provide more detail, by asking them to expand or offer more explanation. By so doing, they are kowatiating. Also spelled kowaciate. Pronounced as /kɒwaʃıeıt/.

The word is of Nigerian origin and derived from the Igbo word "Kowa" meaning "to explain" and adding the suffix "tiate" to it.
