A person who constantly feels the need defend the Apple Corporation, its owner, its employees, its policies or its products.

Person 1: You know, I think that the iPad is a bit overpriced - especially considering that the parts only cost $250.

Applologist: HOW DAAARE YOU! May you rot in the pits of HELL! Oh wait, what I mean to say is while the component cost may be $250 - that only accounts for a small portion of the pricing of the iPad. Indeed, it doesn't take into account, the time and engineering that went into it on Apples part for the hardware and iOS design.
