schmuffle

to alernatly smush and/or ruffle another's hair with hands, usually in a side to side motion.

this word comes from combining the two words "smush" and "ruffle" while slurring the beginning a bit.
"Oh, that guy is so fuzzy. I just want to go up to him, schmuffle his hair, and say, "Will you marry me?"

One of those words that comes out when you're trying to say another and is a mixture of the two.
It's a mixture of smothered, muffled, and stifled. (there are probably other combo's too)
I felt so smuffled when my parents wouldn't allow me to IM for a week and I didn't know the latest gossip.
