Light Skinned refers to skin color most commonly in people who live in Europe or Asia. It is NOT tanned skin because the term is associated with white. Only fucking idiots use the term light skinned as a slang to classify a person or people who have olive skin.

Light-skinded

A fair skinned African American. May be fair skinned secondary to previous generations of european descent. Fair skinned appearance may also be a result of non-african parentage.

Often, at birth, African American children may appear 'light-skinded' but darken up after days to weeks after birth evoking accusations such as "That ain't my baby!" and "You slept with a white man!"

Stranger: "you got a white momma?"
