Faceplant (noun)
1. The end point for a catastrophic loss of equilibrium during a ballistic biped activity, which results in a reorientation to a more stable form, that being a tripod, where the contact point for one of the legs is ... the face.
2. When used as a metaphor, the speed, mass and impact site involved in a traditional faceplant is exchanged for the planter’s wealth, power, fame and/or intent.
