El Camino

Chevrolet's half car/half truck. Built in 1959 and 1960 on the Impala platform, then discontinued due to poor sales. Reborn in 1964, but this time built on the new mid-size Malibu/Chevelle platform. Production continued through the 1987 model year, but there were 420 units built during the first week of August 1987 that are designated as 1988 models. Rumors are circulating that Pontiac will bring the El Camino name back on yet another Holden design, the "Ute" (a-la Holden Monaro/Pontiac GTO).
If Pontiac does bring us back the El Camino, I will be one of the first in line to buy one. I can add it to my collection which currently consists of 1969 SS, 1984, and 1988 (yes 1988) models.

A chick you would do, but so nasty, that you wouldn't want to tell your friends about it.
That chick is like an El Camino. Fun to ride until your friends see you.

el camino

spanish for *the road*, was a truck produced first in 1959 by chevrolet in relatiation to fords succesful Ranchero. with the styling and comfort of a sedan or luxury that, with the right factory package, would preform just as well as an SS. for esample the 77 classic. not only will it haul heavy loads, they will also haul some major a**. basically the best of both worlds. u get luxury with hauling room and then some.
example given, 1972 elcamino was basically a chevell hardtop with a truckbed. look it up if u dont believe me... from the front, i couldve swore it was a chevell...but it was an el camino...
