EL Cucuy is a Mexican urban legend. Legend says it that once upon a time a father was really angry at his kids for misbehaving. As a matter of punishment, he decided to lock his kids in his closet to learn their lesson. After a while, he decided to go to town and run some errands but he forgot to take his kids out of the closet. When he came back from the town he saw that his barn and his house caught on fire which killed the kids and the father was cursed. In disbelief, he decided to look for his kids in many closets. It has been years from look for his kids and started growing an appetite for them. Now he hunts kids and hides in closets at night waiting for the right moment to pounce.

Or the definition is A Mexican legend often used for misbehaved children saying that he will get them at night if they don't behave. Also, legend has it that whoever hears the true legend will catch a glimpse of him at night, SLEEP WELL.

EL Cucuy te va llevar al bosque y comerte si no te comportas.
The Cucuy will take you to the forest and eat you if you don't behave.

Basement Caucus

A group of Twitter lowlives in the political circle, many (but not all) of them stan accounts for a specific obscure politician, that are extremely autistic and don't leave their basements, and will never get to experience living life like a normal person. Very similar to the Election Mafia, with plenty of overlap as well.

The Republican Basement Caucus went on a rant about how a specific North Carolina politician would lose because he was too far right, although he really wasn't. He ended up winning by 7 points.

cucuybird

The 3rd (pre-adolescent) stage of development in the life cycle of the cucuy. A winged, hummingbird-sized alien being found exclusively in the forests of central New Mexico, USA. The cucuybird feeds on insects as it gains strength before growing into the chupacabra, or adolescent-phase cucuy. When feeding, the cucuybird emits a high-pitched chirping sound much similar to sky-cars on the popular 80's children's cartoon, "The Jetsons". Googoots (Cucuzza)

Literally, in italian, a big squash. Used as slang it means "a useless person." In other words, all that person is good for is to sit there like a big squash and get bigger. It can just as easily be derogatory as well as joking.

I was going to get Frank to fix my Mustang, but then I remembered that as far as mechanics go, he's a total googoots (cucuzza).
