Conformist

Anyone who sides with or borrows the customs, rules, or styles of another group to be recognized. This branches out to the most mainstream popular groups, to the lowest underground groups. There is a 92% chance that the person reading this is, or is somewhat, a conformist. The other 8% most likely will continue to be original until some jackass says "Ur friggin awesum!!!1" and makes all his/her friends believe that what the individual is doing is cool to some extent, and in no time flat the fad that was just created becomes so annoying an 'anti' group is formed against it, in which now there are 2 more groups people will once again conform to and the cycle will repeat until an old idea (retro) is brought back. The retro fad halts the cycle for sometime, and when it leaves the cycle starts again

Individual: Hey watch this! (shows friend original idea)

Conformist: OMG!! thats soooo kewl!!! let me show everyone!!!!

Individual: aw shit, here we go again.

wannabe non-conformist

1. A person who generally shocks 'normal' people but annoys actual non-comformists by saying and doing things that millions of other people have done in an atempt to be a rebel. They also don't mean a single word they say.

The Law of Conformity

The Law of Comformity states that the more people attempt not to conform to certain stereotypes and shared identities, the more they actually do conform to those stereotypes and identities.

Many teenagers become goths in an attempt to stand out as individuals, or else as a means of expressing what they feel is their "true self." However, in adopting the mannerisms, attire and musical tastes of the goth community, teenage goths ultimately end up conforming.

Non-conformist

A non-conformist is somebody whos stands up for what they believe despite what anyone thinks. They can buy what a conformist does not because its in and everyone has but just because they like it. They do things for themselves and not to be excepted by society despite being ridiculed for not having Air Force Ones unless they like them. There isn't a store in the mall called the non-conformist store where people go to be different. Non-conformity is all about doing what you want and not listening to others opinions.

Non-Conformist-I just bought the nicest Air-Forces not because everyone has them but because he likes them

Wanna Be Non Conformist-Ew you're such a conformist everyone has those shoes, I made my own shoes because noone has them you're such a follower.

Non-Conformist-If I like them isn't that all that matters, I mean isn't that what being a non-cofformist is all about doing what you wanna do? If I listen to you and don't buy them won't I be conforming to what your idea of a non-conformist is?

Conformist

What most people call conformist is wrong. The conformist are people who try to fit in to any mainstream trend that is that status quo of the time. Like today many kids like Lil Wayne, and it's popular to like Lil Wayne, Hip-hop, or emo music(to a lesser extent). Anyone who's not abiding by the stat quo of popularity today is considered lame, and just because you conform to a smaller less popular group, that does not make you an conformist also.

Being a conformist in modern day sense means to like what ever is popular, and what the radio and channels like MTV and BET project as what today's teens or 20 somethings should be.

It's like any kid who likes Nirvana naturally is seen as uncool because they aren't conforming to today's widely popular music or trends.

Non-conformist

Being in a secure state of mind in which you do not care what anybody but you thinks about you. If the whole world were like this, then there would not be as much violence. If you are scene, emo, goth, etc. then you are in no way a non-conformist. You are
conformity at its very worst. If you can honestly say to yourself that you dont care what others think of you then there is a chance you are a non-conformist. The biggest hint though is when you are recognized by people because there is not another person who looks or acts as you do.

Emo kid- *flips hair* i'm such a non-conformist *flips hair*
me- oh yeah? then why does every kid youre friends with look exactly like you?
