Trial by Fire

Commonly refers to the ability of someone or something to perform well for the first time under pressure, like the common phrase sink or swim. Can also refer to a firefighter attacking his first blaze, a right of passage in most fire departments.

Nicole Fire Drill

Somewhat like a Chinese Fire Drill. The Nicole Fire Drill is when someone is driving and at every red light or stop sign, they take the key out of the ignition and snort a line of cocaine off of it. After, start the car back up and continue driving.
