Penn Valley

This small suburban town in the greater Philadelphia area is quite dull. It contains no post office and one grade school. The occupaints share a zip code with either Narberth or Wynwood. There is no shopping in Penn Valley, aside from a strip mall on Montgomery Avenue (although this is arguably in Narberth.) The big houses are usually old and made of stone, although a few new ones have been built in the past 10 years, and on large lawns, so one does not usually befriend the neighbors. The people who live here are either retired or 30 somethings with young children. Many celebrities or sports players choose to live here for the privacy. For example, Allen Iverson built a house on a private drive here.

Go back to the valley

A jocular, non-serious way of telling someone that they are sucking at something (usually surfing or skateboarding or some such activity). The expression originated among Los Angeles area surfers who would try to intimidate surfers from farther inland (usually the San Fernando Valley) into not surfing at “their” break. Locals could tell a “Val” because people from the valley usually weren’t very good (not having access to the beach as easy as coast residents). Hence the expression becoming synonymous with “you suck.” Was popularized as a catch phrase by several bad Hollywood surf movies (eg Point Break).

Blue Valley High School is full of girls who only like eachother and no one else, guys who don’t really give a fuck, and everyone is rich. Know for their amazing football and baseball teams, and their stuck up personality. If your from Blue Valley High, your basically better than everyone from other schools, just saying.

Arkansas River Valley

The Arkansas River is some of the baddest whitewater kayaking in North America and also has some of the most family-friendly whitewater rafting anywhere. "The Ark" begins near Leadville, Colorado and flows south through the Upper Arkansas River Valley. The area near Buena Vista is an outdoors aficionado's paradise with numerous fourteener peaks in the Collegiate Peaks, road cycling, mountain biking, trail running, climbing, bouldering, hiking, and much more. In winter, Alpine, Nordic, and backcountry skiing & snowboarding and snowshoeing are available. The floor of the Valley from Buena Vista to Salida has a pretty mild climate year-round and for this reason is sometimes called the Banana Belt. You can go skiing or snowshoeing on the west side of the Valley or rock climb, mountain bike, hike, etc. on the east side on many winter days Buena Vista has one of the world's great outdoor shops, The Trailhead. They are really willing to help you out with whatever you need, including information about places to go.
