The self-congratulatory act of meaninglessly subverting a trope in media. Usually for the sake of appearing more well written than in actuality.

I stopped enjoying this show after season 2, the excessive trope fapping became really obvious.

Troy Criss

The Troy Criss is a sexual maneuver in which one partner (traditionally the male) dresses in a degrading outfit while their lover places rubber-bands around his genitals. The outfit usually consists of a bottomless rabbit costume and bright red clown shoes. The term is thought to have originated in Ireland. The Irish people, numbed from years of heavy alcohol abuse, suffered from erectile disfunction and overall numbness. Troy Criss was the town drunk/gigolo of Cobh, Ireland. After years of heavy alcohol consumption and sexual desensitization, Criss could no longer function as a sexual man.
