Moral posturing

People claiming to care about things that didn't happen to them.
Iam "It's not that I don't feel bad about the situation but... How do I put this delicately?"

Hym "It's the moral posturing. It's people who weren't involved proclaiming to the heaven how bad they feel about the situation. Using it to push their various agendas."

Iam "And if you know anything about me you should be able to see why we're averse to 'people who aren't involved in a situation pretending to care so they can force their beliefs down somebody's throat.' "

Hym "It's an affront to the people who actually care. And I've said this before. I'm repeating myself at this point. That was somebody's job. Not my job."
