Sometimes they are given menial tasks or details, especially when snowbirding for several weeks or even months.

When drivers react to a snow event in ways that prove Darwin wrong, including but not limited to abandoning cars all over the roads in travel lanes, creating a slow-motion, slippery slalom for other drivers, stopping at the foot of a slushy hill to make it almost impossible for themselves or the cars behind to climb, accelerating to nowhere but sideways into other cars, and rigorously stomping on the brakes just late enough to lock them for the same sad sideways effect.
