Nocturnal Flinching

When someone is sleeping and they have a dream or thought of themselves getting hurt or falling, and their body physically reacts, and causes them to jerk or flinch rather spasmodically.

Guy: What the fuck tracy, you kicked me in the balls last night in bed???

Tracy: sorry, i had a bad dream and probably got a nocturnal flinching.

Guy: go fuck yourself, we're done.

nok-tee:- abbr;slang (local) short for noctivigaunt (re) to be inclined to walk or stay awake at night, but not an Insomniac. (see also dream walker) dream state that you remember made only worse because it was real. Ghostly. look up Noctivigaunt!

Nocism

An intentional response which breaks down a more technical word into a simpler word (layman's terms) in an obvious attempt to be humorous while using the prefix "I don't know about that, but _______."
Can also be unintentionally used by simple people with very, small vocabularies.

Nocism
1st Person: "You really should be more apologetic."
2nd Person: "I don't know about that, but I am really sorry about it."

1st Person: "Is it really necessary for you to be so demeaning to her."
2nd Person: "I don't know about that, but I don't look down on her."

Nocturnist

A physician, usually one of the best in his or her feild, who is so adept at practicing medicine that they frequently handle any and all after hour emergencies in large hospitals with little to no help at bedside from colleagues or subspecialists. Usually high income earners with strong work ethic, very often referred to as the Guardian Angels of the hospital due to their ability to single handedly solve problems and keep critically ill patients alive at night. Can often teach Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) in their sleep. Often exclusively work at night. Proper noun, capitalization important differentiator from non-physician references.
