Like a 'coon to water

A rural description of a persons behavior while being uncontrollably drawn to someone or something that will destroy or kill them. The origin of the term comes from the behavior of raccoons that have been poisoned with a poison which induces uncontrollable thirst. This leads the raccoon to run to a water source and drink until they die.

Joe is like a 'coon to water over that stripper.

To talk like a russian

To tell lies, especially when others know the truth.

Originates from the way how russian propaganda lies to everyone about their actions by twisting the truth. Like when they shelled Ukrainian cities and blamed Ukrainians for that. In other words, if russians are talking about it, they are most certainly lying.
