Situation in which you encounter someone you know - especially someone you have not spoken to in some time - have a conversation then depart, only to immediately encounter the person again, resulting in social awkwardness.

Former neighbours A and B run into each other at the mall and chat for a while, following which:

A. It was nice to run into you!

B. It really was - send my regards to your family.

A. Take care!

Five minutes later A and B run into each other again in the parking lot and smile sheepishly at the awkward post-goodbye hello

The Five-Floor Goodbye

Slang term for throwing someone out of a high window in an attempt to kill them, or defenestration. Originates from Tom Francis' game Gunpoint, where one of the protagonist's main methods of defeating his adversaries is shoving them out windows. There is also a track in the game's soundtrack entitled "The Five-Floor Goodbye", which was composed by Ryan Ike.

Gangster 1: "Did you hear the news? Johnny tried getting a raise from the boss and ended up getting the five-floor goodbye."

Gangster 2: "Damn. Hope I'm not the one that get's stuck cleaning the mess."

Southern California Goodbye

A customary way that friends in Southern California leave events together: two or more people walk to one person's car, and that person drives everyone back to their cars.

The Southern California Goodbye is a response to lack of public transit in a region which is now literally over 14% parking lot (not counting freeways, which in Southern California are also effectively parking lots).

SoCal person A: Where did you park?
SoCal person B: This side of the parking lot. You?
SoCal person A: That side of the parking lot.
SoCal person B: That's hella far. Southern California Goodbye?
SoCal person A: Thanks fam.

kiss it goodbye - verb: to take the last toke you are going to get on a joint or blunt before passing it to someone else or extinguishing it. Sometimes this can occur without one's foreknowledge.

Similar to the "Irish Goodbye", but distinctively Scottish wherein instead of simply disappearing without saying farewell, you actually play psychological warfare with your enemies and tell them you’re coming so they wait on you when you clearly had no intention of showing up.
