US Customary Units

An utterly unusable "system" of random measuring references designed by Grok Einstein in the neolithic period (10,000 years BC). Adapted by Egyptians and "refined" in 3rd century Rome by people who bathe in urine, drink wine from lead goblets and think it's ok to have sex with 10 year old boys. Eventually abandoned by every other nation on the planet earth in favor of a rational, logical, interrelated and vastly easier measuring system called "the metric system" with the only exception being the United States of America who wistfully wait for the rest of the world to see the error of their ways and re-embrace a kings cock and 3 grains of barley as a glorious and Godly base for units of measure.

customerize

When you take an awesome product designed for a huge market and customize it to make one of your annoying cry-baby customers happy because your stupid salesman promised them something which no one in their right mind would design into such an awesome product.
Hey did you hear we had to change the font on the login button on our main page to Comic Sans because Fred Derf promised Dingleberry Unlimited it was no big deal?

God I hate when we customerize our products like that.

Modern Custom

Modern Custom is a term that was created to blanket over all of the diverse custom rides that normally come out to the younger generation shows. There are many different styles that Modern Custom blankets like lowriders, trucks, mini trucks, custom compacts, tuners, SUVs and there are even modern inspired classics, rats and worn & torn that appear at Modern Custom shows. Each one of these automotive styles has its own scene and shows, but they will all come together at a Modern Custom show and showoff their custom rides together. These shows were created mainly in the 80s (some earlier on the West Coast) when younger clubs were tired of entering their local hot rod shows and having 1 class for mini trucks and one class for compacts, sometimes split in mild or wild or foreign and domestic. Clubs took charge and started putting together their own shows and had broken down classes for all styles of Modern Custom rides. It was a great time in automotive history that the old school Modern Custom guys remember because most of them helped get it going. Its not as old as hot rodding, lowriding or vannin' but it has its place in history and will continue to be a strong force in the custom automotive industry. The term "Modern Custom" was created by Mike, one of the owners of DropJaw, back in '02.

allocating customers

The worst antitrust offenses are cartel violations, price fixing, bid rigging & customer allocation. Price fixing is when 2 plus competing sellers agree on what prices to charge, ex: by agreeing that they will increase prices a certain amount or that they won't sell below a certain price. Bid rigging is when 2 plus firms agree to bid in such a way that a designated firm submits the winning bid, typ for local, state or fed gov contracts.

Customer-allocation agreements involve some arrangement between competitors to split up customers, such as by geographic area, to reduce or eliminate competition. Such price-fixing, bid-rigging & customer-allocation agreements, unlike joint research agreements for ex, provide no plausible offsetting benefits to consumers. These agreements are generally secret, & the participants mislead & defraud customers by continuing to hold themselves out as competitors despite their agreement not to compete.
Price fixing, bid rigging & customer allocation harm consumers & taxpayers by causing them to pay more for products & services & by depriving them of other byproducts of true competition. Nor is there usually any question in the minds of violators that their conduct is unlawful. Such practices raise the price of a product or service by more than 10 %, sometimes much more, & that Amer consumers & taxpayers pour billions of $ each yr into the pockets of cartel members. People who take consumer & taxpayer $ this way are thieves.
