Metallica's 9th studio album and a damn good example that they hadn't totally forgot where they came from. I was surprised at the thrash orientation in had, some thing that hadn't done since the 20 years span from "...And Justice For All". It mixed some stuff from the 90's alternative rock and hard rock type of stuff (can't tell me the video for "The Memory Remains wasn't on some level maybe inspired by the Smashing Pumpkins lol) with some of the good old 80's thrash metal brutality they started with.

A good mix of old and new to give a certain level of satisfaction to multiple camps of fans of Metallica and metal music fans alike. Some of the lyrics admittedly are a bit below what the 80's era had given us, but let's admit to one undeniable truth. It's definitely an improvement and step in the right direction.

Death Magnetic is proof that the greatest selling heavy metal act of all time still has their steam! :D

deathhawk

A style of mohawk worn by goths and deathrockers. A good example would be Johnny Slut from the band Specimen.
The death-hawk is typically dyed black and backcombed/teased rather than combed straight up as in the punk mohawk.

Jonny Slut's deathhawk is angled. It is thicker in the back and angles inward as you get to his forehead.

Beachball of Death

The Mac OS pointer icon of a colorful spinning wheel indicating the program currently under the mouse pointer is no longer responding. Called the beachball of death if the program never recovers or causes the operating system to become so busy (usually due to insufficient memory) that nothing else responds.

I ran a new shareware program, but killed it after I got the beachball of death.

Death groupie

A person who feigns closeness with someone who has recently died in order to receive sympathy and/or attention. Usually achieved by social media, this person will embellish or exaggerate a relationship with the deceased, giving a false impression that they were close friends.

"Wow, she sure seems to be sad about Bob's death. I didn't even know they were friends." "They weren't. She's a death groupie."
