1. Any shiny thing which distracts morons such as rappers.

2. Often takes the form of jewellery, may be expensive but is commonly cheap, used to give the impression of wealth. Adored by Chav's.

3. Gaudy over the top hideous and wholly unneccessary.

Rapper: Check my bling 22's yo'
Me: wow there hideous, get some taste.
Rapper:..........(distracted ny own relfection in chrome)

Example 2,
Chav A:lurk at ma soverin ring youi
Chav B:Yer tha luks well smart wid ya burberry 'at. Blingin' it.
Chav A:oh noooh, its raeinin it'll go green if i' gets wet!

n. synonym for expensive, often flashy jewelry sported mostly by African American hip-hop artists and middle class Caucasian adolescents.

v. to "bling-bling;" the act of sporting jewelry of a highly extravagant gaudy nature.

BLiNG ReCoRDS

1) An underground East Coast record label that primarily focus' on upcoming local talent. Helping rap musicians put out a street demo which can be given to other larger record labels, in hope of getting professionally signed. 2) A code used in buying and selling illegally pirated CDs. Both created by an East born native, "BLiNG".

blinglish

Blinglish is the vocabulary of corrupted English words created and used in hip hop by bejeweled celebrities, particularly gangsta (witness!) rappers, to identify themselves and to tell their stories. It is a product of ignorance and poor schooling masquerading as independent thought.

Everything gon be alright; bottle poppin; u betta run wit it; conversate with some chicks; clowned Before we end up fightin; Ludacris (song title), etc., ad nauseam.

The rapper might have a story to tell or a lesson to teach, but, since he's using Blinglish, he's keeping his message a secret from everyone except those who already know it.

Something that is shiny can be considered bling bling, but it is usualy jewelry that is bling bling.
