slam firing

when you hold down the trigger of a shotgun and pump it, the gun will fire as soon as the pump reaches the forward position. not recommended because it puts lots of stress on the gun.

jewish filing system

The term given to the practise of accepting documents for storage (or further reference) when in fact they are just thrown into a pile that is discarded after a few weeks.
Usually the jewish filing system is put into use when documents are "too important" to immediately throw away but aren't important enough to sort for retrieval (as nobody ever asks for them)
The accounts department wants us to keep taxi receipts for possible later use? Sounds like a waste of time, I'll use the jewish filing system"

quiet firing

An expression used as fight back on the term 'quiet quitting'.

Term for employers who don't evaluate fairly the employee's commitment and work, leaving them in the same position/salary for years without a clear path for career growth.
I've been with this company for 5 years and they have raised my duties many times, yet I'm still fighting for a raise in salary... - Maybe you should do one up to their 'quiet firing' and look for a new workplace, John.
