Theory of Political Elasticity

A framework proposing that political systems are elastic—that they can stretch to accommodate new constituencies, new challenges, new crises without breaking into authoritarianism or anarchy. Political Elasticity suggests that healthy polities have appropriate stretch: democratic institutions stretch through elections, through protest, through reform—but have limits. When stretched too far, they break into revolution or repression. Understanding politics requires understanding the elastic limits of systems.

Dragon Age is ALWAYS political

Dragon Age 1 is about racism. The sub plot revolves the oppression of the elves by the humans.
Dragon Age 2 is about colonialism and religious zealotry. Kirkwall takes in the Qunari leader and he tries to take over the country because the fact that they don't adhere to the Qun disgusts him.
Dragon Age 3 is about class warfare. The conflict between the overclass (The Templars) and the underclass (The Mages)

THAT is why they are doing it. Covid-19 is likely their plan for when they think the public has turned on them. This is them torturing a dissident after they shut down the country to save their own hides, did nothing to protect your kids, stole from me, collapsed the economy. They are not laughing at ME. They are laugh at YOU. Because you are completely powerless to stop them from doing ANYTHING. You can't sway them. Oh hey, look at that! 2 senators just got murdered in their own home... And their names are the same as my parents...
