b) a synonym for the phrase " sorry to tell you this but (...)", followed by whatever piece of bad news you want to tell the person.

Naruto Dick Riding Syndrome

Naruto Dick Riding Syndrome is an affliction exclusive to characters in Masashi Kishimoto's popular manga, Naruto. After encountering Uzumaki Naruto in a battle and losing, Naruto spits an adorable line about peace, determination, and love. The victim then relinquishes all convictions and bends to the will of Uzumaki Naruto.

His allies are also afflicted by NDRS; Hinata nearly lost her life twice for him. NDRS, moreover, transcends the pages of the manga to forum users as well. Uchiha Sasuke is the only known person immune to NDRS.

Naruto: "I've defeated you Neji, now abandon your grudges because I'm a loser."

Neji: "But aren't you the son of the Fou....ahh, nevermind. Let's have a circle jerk. I got NDRS."

Reader 1: "Naruto's actions were just. He follows his emotions and will never break his promise"

Reader 2: "But it's just getting ridiculous at this point in the manga. You got Naruto Dick Riding Syndrome BAD!

Jesus riding a dinosaur

A phrase used in IRC and internet message-boards, especially gaming boards, to respond to news that's old or outdated. Variations include "Jesus rides by on a dinosaur" or "Jesus waves from his dinosaur." The exact phrase isn't as important as the image itself.

riding shotgun

Earning the right to ride in the front passenger seat of someone's car. This is also the direct opposite of "riding bitch," where you are sitting center-backseat, sandwiched by your friends (aka: riding gay, riding whore). It is "shotgun"'s responsibility for controlling car temperature, changing radio stations, calling out landmarks, and flagging down hot girls.

Variations to "calling shotgun" can include paper/rock/scisors, coin flip, or being the first to yell "shotgun" when the driver pulls their car keys out of their pocket. Seniority rarely means anything when calling shotgun.

Steve was riding shotgun because he won the coin flip in the mall.
