Funist (fun-ist) n. 1. a person who enjoys fun; a participant in fun activities and events. 2. An artist or participant in the Funism Art Movement. 3. a person who defines life and the observation of the world in a fun manner. 4. a person with a poignant, yet whimsical point of view.

funism

Funism is a populist art movement created by artist Norm Magnusson in 1991 whose basic tenets are that: 1) art should be as much fun to look at as it is to think about and 2) art should be intellectually engaging without being intellectually elitist.

Cubism and realism are fine, but my favorite art movement is funism.
