University of Texas at Austin's Round Up Weekend is often called the Greatest College Weekend in America or even the world.
Starting Thursday nights and continuing until Sunday, RoundUp is primarily hosted by greek life with students from around the country visiting West Campus in Austin, buying wrist bands and tickets like any big name music festival (such as local ACL), and waiting in lines that stretch street corners to get into Bar Tabs and Parties alike. The Greatest College Weekend in America sold as many as 15,000 tickets to students in a single year, and all the proceeds go to charities.
The parties and drunken debauchery doesn't stop with some students forgoing sleep (something UT students are very familiar with) to keep the party going. It's common for fraternities to hire big name and up and coming artists to play concerts for their parties. This includes B.O.B., Riff Raff, Shwayze, and Travis Porter. They also commonly get big sponsorships and team up with other greek orgs to afford the events, alcohol, private security, bar tenders, etc.
There is nothing like it at any other college in the world, and there probably never will be.
Headlines and Bylines about it include: "UT's Round Up Will Make You Want To Transfer Schools" and "Weekends come and go, but this is one unlike any other"

Get the The Greatest College Weekend in America mug.Once again, Michael was in AP Calculus BC. Michael had asked what infinity/infinity was. One could simply answer the question by saying the answer is undefined; however, that is not what occurred. What occurred was an epic battle of banter. Those around listened in silence and horror, pretending to not listen. The largest blow of this epic battle occurred when, Thall who shall not be named, called Michael a "Dirty Liar". That was the last straw in this encounter. Michael quickly responded with "You did not just call me that". They were in an absolute stalemate. The battle ended with positive email interaction. To this day, the two sides remain at peace.
Today is The Greatest Tragedy of March 13th. We all must mourn this great tragedy. Nothing compares to the horror that occurred on this day. Nothing even comes close. Some might bring up the events that occurred in the 1940s; however, they would be mistaken. One must always respect The Greatest Tragedy of March 13th.

As in, just because you have a copy of Eagles' Greatest Hits and someone like Benito Mussolini does too doesn't make you the same type of guy. Coined by a music critic in an interview with VH1.
The Fallacy of The Eagle's Greatest Hits goes like this: Just because you have a copy of Eagles' Greatest Hits and someone like Benito Mussolini does too doesn't make you the same type of guy.
The fallacy of The Eagles' Greatest Hits is like that song, "Breakfast at Tiffany's." Two people have nothing in common but that guy is holding onto a chance with the girl because they both saw Breakfast at Tiffany's and she kinda liked it. Maybe she liked it but that doesn't make you compatible; it means nothing!

Get the This is why LeBron James is the greatest basketball player of all time mug.GreatestJournal started in 2003. Some guy took LiveJournal's script and set it up for a few kids. Soon though, word spread and everyone started to join GJ. It was fresh, unique, and exciting for the first year or two.
It was basically LJ on crack: unlimited user styles, icons, and free picture hosting -- all at no cost to the user, with the exception of a few user info page ads and ads you'd see only when you weren't logged in!
Then in 2005, trends spread. Everyone had similar layouts, icons, and even user info pages, usernames, and pictures. It kept spreading and hasn't stopped. Now 70% of GJ is like that.
Categories:
1) Girls between the ages of 12 - 18, starting online drama, making icons, layouts, and banners, and basically stylizing everything. Some share beauty tips and role play. All of them come out as clones.
2) Same as #1, but scene kids. They type in lower case and either use only one icon forever, or alternate between a thousand (no exaggeration!) They type up lyrics and take as many pictures whenever they have a chance.
3) Refined scene kids, a nice blend of #1 and #2.
4) Some weird anime-obsessed Wapanese. Horrible usernames, horrible fake layouts, and horrible icons. Usually non-Asian.
