antisocial distance

In the time of corona, a distance between individuals of LESS THAN six feet. In all other times, the inverse.
In the fight against corona-19, introverts are finding it easy to keep a social distance, while extroverts who by definition prefer to keep an antisocial distance are finding these times more trying.

Social Distancing

Abstract noun referring to a distance of 6ft (or 2m) that people must keep between eachother during a virus pandemic in order to reduce transmission of the virus.
1. A pandemic-appropriate, polite way in which to tell someone to remove themselves from your safe space. E.g. you have just bumped into someone as you try to exit a lift. "Oops. Social distancing!", you chuckle through your mask.

2. A never-appropriate, impolite way in which to tell someone to remove themselves from your safe space. E.g. you have just bumped into someone as you try to exit a lift. You remove the person's mask, as well as your own, and spit into their face, "Social distanciinngg!"

Greeting Distance

The optimum distance someone walking in the opposite direction should be before one smiles at them. If too far, there is an awkward few metres trying to avoid eye contact, if too close they may think you are shunning them. Get this right, and stage one of rapport building is complete.
Person 1: Mate, I had a massively awkward moment the other day...

Person 2: What happened?

Person 1: Well, I saw this girl I know at the other side of the park coming toward me; naturally I smiled and waved.

Person 2: So, what was the problem?

Person 1: Well, she smiled back, but we were still separated by a good fifty metres. I didn't want to keep eye contact because that would have looked weird, and I could hardly smile again; I just had to look at the floor for a little while... Was so awkward...

Person 2: Ah I see, classic example of not leaving an appropriate greeting distance.

Distance bomb

when someone you know or love suddenly says that they are going to move real far away. This is often a very heart wrenching experience for the one moving, but even more so for the one left behind
A man and a woman were close friends with eachother. Both live in Boston. One day, the woman says "I'm moving to Crapville, California, near Tijuana". the guy was very shocked and shaken at the news. When his friends talked about it the next day, one said tothe other "That chic really dropped the distance bomb on poor Sam last night."
