false metal

Originated by Manowar, they originally used it to describe the music of the Glam/Hair bands of the Eighties. In a modern context, it can be used to describe numerous Nu-Metal bands.

"Manowar waged open verbal, and occasionally physical, warfare upon those who could not genuinely play their instruments or who were half hearted in embracing the true spirit of their beloved heavy metal"

-Manowar: Anthology. Inset by Dave Ling.
That poser only likes False Metal.

circus-metal

A name often given to a style of music which combines heavy metal with circus/carnival music, jazz, techno, Turkish music, Egyption music, Surf music, bossa nova, 50's rock n roll, etc. Highly experimental, very strange, yet very different and fresh.

Industrial Metal

A surprisingly rare breed of metal that includes some form of electronic or computer generated instrumentals or effects. NIN, Static-X, Fear Factory, Rob Zombie, are a few examples of bands whom are or have created industrial metal.
Industrial metal is my favorite kind of metal.

Mentally tasered

When one talks confidently about a possible situation that might arise and then when the situation actually happens they get mentally tasered, or handle the situation completely different from how they claimed they would, usually by whoever they were talking about easily "over powering" in the situation.
John: This isn't a good idea. I got pulled over by a cop last night for staying out past curfew like this skating.

George: Ha! Wow you're a pussy. Stop worrying. If a cop even tried pulling me over for that I would pull out my knife and cut his ass.

*Red and blue lights flash and a police officer approaches the 2 of them*

Cop: What are you two doing out this late? It's past the local curfew.

George: H-hello officer we we're j-just taking a walk and enjoying th-the weather.

John: Wow, so much for acting like a tough guy huh George?

George: Shut up I got mentally tasered asshole!

Metal Gear Solid 3

A great videogame on the PlayStation 2, released orginally as Snake Eater in late 2004. (Early 2005 here in the UK/Europe) - A re-release coming out in 2005/2006 called Subsistence with an updated camera amongst other things.

Third game in the Metal Gear Solid series, and (in my opinion) the best MGS game, because of the great memories with friends, great story, good gameplay and moving characters.

The game takes place 40-50 odd years before the other Metal Gear Solid games, and puts you in the boots of Naked Snake - An American ex Green Beret turned CIA operator who infiltrates a Soviet jungle to rescue a scientist called Sokolov - like the other MG games, it twists and turns greatly.

You use camouflage to hide in the jungle, CQC to eliminate enemy soldiers, and you hunt for animals and plants to fulfill your stamina from time to time.

I urge anyone to try this game, it may be old, and have a sequel out Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of The Patriots on PS3. But to me, it's the best one in the series.

I recommend Subsistence.
Metal Gear Solid 3 is amongst my best videogames ever played alongside 007 Goldeneye on N64, Super Mario 64, Grand Theft Auto III and Metal Gear Solid 2.
