Selective Cleaning Disorder

Being told to clean or knowing that you need to clean, yet you don't. Instead you get on Facebook and look up words on Urban Dictionary. Then you clean when you absolutely have to (ie: company is coming over), have nothing better to do, or have a sudden urge to clean. But when you do choose to clean, you clean to the best of your ability. It really is a sickness of the mind because most likely you live in a fairly messy, yet often organized, house.

I've been putting off cleaning my room for three weeks, but now that my friends are coming over the entire house has to be spotless! I must have Selective Cleaning Disorder!

dirty clean

If your house is dirty clean that means you hid the worst of it. It's still filthy... you just can't tell right away.

Dude, I can't see the bugs and mold anymore but I still want to disinfect everything before I touch it. It looks clean, but I know it's still dirty. It's dirty clean.

fake clean

Knowing someone is coming over whom you want to impress, but there isn't enough time to clean; so you shove everything in a closet, under your bed, or in a hamper to achieve the perception your place is spotless.

My girl and her Mom randomly said they were stopping by for brunch, so I opened the closet doors in support of my fake clean attempt.
