A term used by white people, of a higher socio economic background, to describe an african american or latino person standing within a one mile radius of a white neighborhood.

White Man 1: "Look at that guy lurking over there, he's probably going to steal something."

White Man 2: "yeah look at him, hes so black."

a quite practical joke involving removing the lid of the flushing compartment of a toilet and shitting into it, then closing the compartment leaving little to no evidence. the unsuspecting victim may wait months to realise why the toilet stinks like shit all the time and it is starting to flush out brown water. named such because of the way it bobs in the top for a long time like a hippopotamus.

Dave: Man I hate the guy thats hosting this party.
Jim: Yeh, so do I. Hes such a fuckwit.
Dave: Well, luckily i just left him a lurking hippo to thank him for the invite.

When a girl, typically named Laryssa, is randomly spying on, or boredly observing someone or something, or suspiciously looking for something to do. For Laryssa to be bored and gathering useless information about something or someone to possibly use against you in a funny situation, she would be lurking.

Laryssa is bored at home. She trained her cats to use the toilet instead of the litter box. Her cats were on the toilet and looked out the door and caught Laryssa lurking around the corner watching them.
